UV614 vs. UV600: The UV600 uses standard HEPA 99.97%. The UV614 upgrades to Super HEPA 99.99% — the correct choice when fine particle sensitivity compounds the pathogen control concern. UV614 vs. P614: The P614 adds TitanClean photocatalytic oxidation for chemical-destructive capability in addition to UV-C and Super HEPA. For environments with both elevated chemical and biological concerns, the P614 is appropriate. UV614 vs. UV714: The UV714 runs at 635 CFM with the same UV-C and Super HEPA configuration. For larger or higher-ceiling spaces, the UV714 is the upgrade.

Airpura filter life varies by model and usage. The carbon bed in this unit is rated to last 2–3 years under continuous use in a typical residential environment. HEPA and pre-filters have their own replacement schedules. Replacement filters are available on our filters page. Running the unit below its rated capacity meaningfully extends filter life.
Airpura units use a variable-speed motor, so you dial airflow up or down across a range rather than stepping through fixed settings. At the low end it is quiet enough to sleep beside. At the top of the range it is clearly audible and is meant for clearing a room quickly — after cooking, painting, or on a smoky day — not for running overnight. Most people settle around the middle of the range and leave it there.
No ionizer and no ozone. This unit does include a germicidal UV-C lamp, fully enclosed inside the cabinet — it treats only the air passing through and emits no UV into the room. The particle and chemical work is still done by mechanical HEPA and activated carbon.
