Filtration System
TarBarrier Pre-Filter — Dedicated tar compound capture stage. Removes tar before it reaches the carbon bed, protecting carbon service life in active smoking environments. Replace on schedule based on smoking frequency.
Carbon Bed — 26 lbs Activated Carbon — Adsorbs the gas-phase chemical load in tobacco smoke: benzene, toluene, formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, acetaldehyde, and hundreds of combustion byproducts. The 26-lb load at 635 CFM is calibrated for effective dwell time with tobacco smoke's complex chemical profile.
HepaBarrier Post-Filter — Captures approximately 95% of airborne fine smoke particles at the exit stage. Available in two configurations: HepaBarrier with frame or HepaBarrier filter cloth only for subsequent replacements.
