What It's Designed For

The G700 is the 700 series configuration for chemically sensitive individuals who require German-sourced carbon — 18 lbs of German-sourced activated carbon at 635 CFM for larger or higher-ceiling spaces. Airpura describes it as premium German-sourced carbon that has no odor, for more sensitive people. The G700 provides the same German carbon platform as the G600 with greater air cycling capacity.

Filtration System

Pre-Filter — Captures large particles at intake. Protects carbon and HEPA stages. Replace annually.

Carbon Bed — 18 lbs German-Sourced Activated Carbon — Airpura describes it as premium German-sourced carbon that has no odor, for more sensitive people. Adsorbs VOCs from synthetic materials, benzene, toluene, xylene, household chemicals and off-gassing, using German activated carbon. Airpura positions it for more sensitive people.

True HEPA — 99.97% @ 0.3 microns — Removes fine particulate, mold spores, pollen, pet dander, bacteria, and airborne viral particles.

Replacement Filter Bundles

Replacement filters for the 700 series are on our replacement filters page.

Filter Suggested Interval
Pre-Filter Every 12 months
Carbon Filter Every 2 years
HEPA Filter Every 3–5 years

Best For

  • MCS individuals who have reacted to standard activated carbon and require German-sourced carbon in a larger-space unit at 635 CFM
  • Sensitive households in high-ceiling or larger spaces where the G600's 560 CFM provides insufficient air cycling
  • Users who need the G600's German carbon platform with the higher airflow of the 700 series

G700 vs. G600: The G600 runs at 560 CFM. The G700 provides 635 CFM with the same German carbon and HEPA configuration — the correct choice when greater airflow is needed. G700 vs. G714: The G714 upgrades to Super HEPA 99.99% — appropriate when fine particle sensitivity compounds the chemical sensitivity concern. G700 vs. G700 DLX: The G700 DLX holds 26 lbs of odorless carbon that Airpura formulates for chemical sensitivity, with a HEPA Barrier.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you buy.

Airpura rates this machine for up to 2,500 sq ft at two air changes an hour, with 8-foot ceilings. For four air changes, which is what we suggest for smoke, asthma or chemical sensitivity, plan on about 1,250 sq ft.

  • The G400 ($709.98) is the compact version: a smaller cabinet and carbon bed, rated by Airpura for 1,000 sq ft at two air changes an hour.
  • The G600 ($1,099.98) moves 560 CFM and is rated by Airpura for 2,000 sq ft at two air changes an hour, with the same filters.
  • The G714 ($1,299.98) is the same machine with a Super HEPA filter, 99.99% at 0.3 microns, in place of True HEPA at 99.97%.

Airpura filter life varies by model and usage. Airpura rates the carbon filter at about two years of continuous use in a typical home. HEPA and pre-filters have their own replacement schedules. Replacement filters are available on our filters page. Running the unit below its rated capacity meaningfully extends filter life.

Airpura units use a variable-speed motor, so you dial airflow up or down across a range rather than stepping through fixed settings. At the low end it is quiet enough to sleep beside. At the top of the range it is clearly audible and is meant for clearing a room quickly — after cooking, painting, or on a smoky day — not for running overnight. Most people settle around the middle of the range and leave it there.

No. This unit uses only mechanical filtration — no ionizer, no UV, no ozone generator. That matters for people with asthma or chemical sensitivity, because ozone is a known airway irritant. Airpura does build UV-equipped machines, and they are gathered in the UV air purifiers collection — this is not one of them.

Yes. Austin Air and Airpura units are used by patients with asthma, allergies, and chemical sensitivity. The True HEPA captures particle-class triggers and the activated carbon addresses VOCs, odors, and chemical compounds. No ionizer, no ozone — safe for respiratory conditions. For MCS specifically, the HealthMate Plus or Airpura C600 have the most relevant specifications.

Yes. Airpura units are designed for continuous residential operation. The steel-body construction and quality motor components are built for this use case. Airpura's 600 and 700 series have a variable-speed dial rather than numbered speeds, and a low to medium setting suits continuous use. Continuous operation at a moderate speed outperforms intermittent high-speed runs for maintaining consistent indoor air quality.

Airpura units ship free directly from their facility in Montreal, Canada. Most orders arrive in 4 to 9 business days, including 1 to 3 business days to process. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships. Import duties and customs fees are included in the product price — no surprise charges at delivery.

Airpura units carry a 5-year warranty on parts and labor, plus labor-only coverage to 10 years. As an authorized Airpura dealer, Fresh Home Air supports the full manufacturer warranty. Contact us at support@freshhomeair.com for warranty service.

Run it in your home for 30 days. If it is not right, email support@freshhomeair.com and we will send you a prepaid, insured return label. We pay the return shipping, there is no restocking fee, and you get a full refund once the unit is back with us. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email us within 7 days with photos of the item and the packaging. We will send a replacement and collect the original, and you pay nothing.

Yes. No ionizer, no ozone, no UV. Mechanical HEPA and activated carbon only, safe for continuous use in rooms with children and pets.

Excellent for a Large Growing Environment

Run a commercial indoor garden and the G700 maintains excellent air quality throughout the whole space. Handles humidity and particles better than anything I've used before.

Top tier for large spaces with biological concerns

We run the G700 in an older home where mold is an ongoing issue we manage carefully. The 700-series motor is noticeably stronger than our previous purifier and the UV component adds a layer of confidence we didn't have before. One minor note: at max fan speed it's louder than I expected, but that's common with high-output units. Overall very satisfied.

Serious mold remediation support for our basement

After a water intrusion event we had significant mold in our basement. The G700 was part of our remediation strategy alongside professional treatment. The combination of HEPA, UV, and carbon in one powerful unit at this size is exactly what a large basement needs. Air quality readings improved substantially and we haven't seen mold recurrence in the treated areas.
