What It's Designed For

The I600+ is the configurable variant of the I600 — same healthcare-environment platform with the addition of an optional Hi-C carbon weave configuration. The Hi-C carbon weave is a lightweight woven carbon stage designed for environments where a lighter, more frequently replaced carbon element is preferred over the standard heavy carbon bed. This matters in clinical settings where filter change logistics favor simpler, more frequent replacements, or where the primary concern is biological control with lighter chemical adsorption needs. The I600+ retains the full I600 feature set: UV-C germicidal sterilization, TitanClean TiO₂ PCO, close-ended metal-capped HEPA, lockable casters, and optional negative air accessories.

Filtration System

Pre-Filter — Captures large particles at intake. Protects the carbon and HEPA stages. Replace on schedule.

Carbon Stage — Standard or Hi-C Weave — Standard configuration: 30 lbs activated carbon for broad-spectrum adsorption. Hi-C carbon weave option: a lightweight woven carbon element providing lighter adsorption with simplified replacement for settings where frequency of change is a priority over maximum carbon capacity.

UV-C Germicidal Lamp — UV wavelength radiation sterilizes bacteria, viruses, and mold spores in the air stream. Works in conjunction with TitanClean to address biological and chemical contaminants.

TitanClean™ TiO₂ Photocatalytic Oxidation — Titanium dioxide coating activated by UV-C that breaks down chemical and biological contaminants at the molecular level.

Close-Ended Metal-Capped HEPA Filter — Specialized HEPA construction for healthcare applications. Prevents particle bypass at filter edges. Captures fine particulate, biological aerosols, mold spores, bacteria, and viral particles.

#2 Bundle I600+ HEPA filter I600+ + prefilter pack $429.98 $529.96

Best For

  • Healthcare environments where the Hi-C carbon weave option is preferred for simplified replacement logistics or lighter chemical adsorption requirements
  • Clinical settings where biological control is the primary concern and carbon is secondary, making the lighter Hi-C weave appropriate
  • Facilities requiring the full I600 feature set with the flexibility to configure the carbon stage based on evolving clinical needs

I600+ vs. I600: The I600 uses a standard 30-lb carbon bed. The I600+ adds the option for Hi-C carbon weave — the correct choice when filter change logistics favor a lighter, more frequently replaced carbon element. I600+ vs. I700+: The I700+ runs at 635 CFM with 35 lbs of carbon. For higher-volume healthcare spaces, the I700+ is the upgrade.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you buy.

Coverage varies by model — check the product specifications above for the rated room size. As a general rule, all units perform best when running below their rated capacity, which reduces noise and extends filter life.

Airpura filter life varies by model and usage. The carbon bed in this unit is rated to last 2–3 years under continuous use in a typical residential environment. HEPA and pre-filters have their own replacement schedules. Replacement filters are available on our filters page. Running the unit below its rated capacity meaningfully extends filter life.

Airpura units use a variable-speed motor, so you dial airflow up or down across a range rather than stepping through fixed settings. At the low end it is quiet enough to sleep beside. At the top of the range it is clearly audible and is meant for clearing a room quickly — after cooking, painting, or on a smoky day — not for running overnight. Most people settle around the middle of the range and leave it there.

No ionizer and no ozone. This unit does include a germicidal UV-C lamp, fully enclosed inside the cabinet — it treats only the air passing through and emits no UV into the room. The particle and chemical work is still done by mechanical HEPA and activated carbon.

Yes. Austin Air and Airpura units are used by patients with asthma, allergies, and chemical sensitivity. The True HEPA captures particle-class triggers and the activated carbon addresses VOCs, odors, and chemical compounds. No ionizer, no ozone — safe for respiratory conditions. For MCS specifically, the HealthMate Plus or Airpura C600 have the most relevant specifications.

Yes. Airpura units are designed for continuous residential operation. The steel-body construction and quality motor components are built for this use case. Most Airpura users run their units continuously at speed 2–3. Continuous operation at a moderate speed outperforms intermittent high-speed runs for maintaining consistent indoor air quality.

Airpura units ship free directly from their facility in Montreal, Canada. Most orders arrive in 4 to 9 business days, including 1 to 3 business days to process. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships. Import duties and customs fees are included in the product price — no surprise charges at delivery.

Airpura units carry a 5-year warranty on parts and labor, plus labor-only coverage to 10 years. As an authorized Airpura dealer, Fresh Home Air supports the full manufacturer warranty. Contact us at support@freshhomeair.com for warranty service.

Run it in your home for 30 days. If it is not right, email support@freshhomeair.com and we will send you a prepaid, insured return label. We pay the return shipping, there is no restocking fee, and you get a full refund once the unit is back with us. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email us within 7 days with photos of the item and the packaging. We will send a replacement and collect the original, and you pay nothing.

Yes. The germicidal UV-C lamp is fully enclosed inside the cabinet — it treats only the air passing through and exposes no one in the room to UV. No ozone, no ionizer. Safe for continuous use around children and pets.
